During his 16-year tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, Patrick J. Kennedy championed ending discrimination against mental illness, addiction, and brain diseases. He spearheaded the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (Federal Parity Law), ensuring equitable access to mental health and addiction treatment. Kennedy also authored numerous bills addressing neurological and psychiatric disorders and founded The Kennedy Forum in 2013. Beyond politics, he founded DontDenyMe.org, co-founded One Mind, Psych Hub, and Mental Health for US, and co-chaired the Action Alliance’s National Response to COVID-19. Read More…
